Idas blue - Plebejus idas

Flight Time: Mid June - August.

Size: 28-34mm

Altitude: 200-2100m

The Idas blue is a variable species with a number of named forms and subspecies. It is also very similar to the Silver-studded blue, Plebejus argus. The foreleg in idas lacks a spine which is present in argus, see leg closeups.
